Judge DeAnn M. Salcido Admits Corruption in Family Court
And Offers Her Statement & Apology
Damon, now almost 14 years old, has been bravely reporting long-term sexual, physical and emotional abuse by his father despite threats to kill him if he told anyone about the abuse.
But San Diego Supervising Judge Lorna Alksne McKellar won't listen to Damon, has taken him away from his protective mother and is coercing him to be with his father, Eric Moelter, who was placed on the Child Abuse Central Index in 2003. She is covering up evidence of abuse and has threatened Damon and his mom that if they don't shut up about the abuse they will never see each other unsupervised.
Damon is being held a virtual prisoner and is not allowed to contact anyone who might help or empower him. Damon had to sneak these videos out. In a recent interview, Damon compared his situation to Anne Frank and being a prisoner of war. His role model is Martin Luther King fighting for civil rights.
Damon is presently being punished by Eric for speaking out about the truth and trying to see his mother. Alksne is saying it is a violation of her court order to try and get the truth out.

A Federal investigation is imminent, along with funding cuts for those involved in endangering children, and other solutions. Academy of Sciences Committee Directors are also coming up with solutions to this travesty of justice.

Damon says the abuse began when he was four and went on for many years [see Damon’s declaration]. Eric made Damon sleep with him every night, but he seemed to need an extra thrill too. So he would take Damon outside at night and assault him in the canyon behind his house (where he was made to lay in the dirt and sticks), and in the pool (where he thought Eric was going to drown him), and many other places, like the beer room, the shower, and the closet.
Damon said Eric would duct-tape him to the bed and duct-tape his mouth shut so he could not scream for help. When Damon would try and hide from Eric to avoid being abused, Eric would punish him by locking him outside all night where he was freezing cold and afraid of coyotes and snakes. Damon was deliberately terrorized into compliance by Eric.
Only a sociopathic child molester could do that to a child, which means that no children are safe around Eric.
Thousands of people have shown their support for Damon through media and email campaigns and petitions, but Judge Alksne still will not listen to or protect Damon. She refuses to do the minimum required by law to gather evidence (Family Code 3118) and is covering up the evidence which already exists, such as the videotape of Damon reporting the abuse to the Chadwick Center and Eric being caught with child pornography.
Judge Alksne will not allow a trial (a due process violation) where all the evidence can be considered and will not allow Damon and his brothers, Evan and Ryan, to testify about the abuse. She has sealed the record so the public cannot see that she is covering up the abuse and put a gag order on the case so Cindy cannot get the truth out or warn the public about Eric.
Judge Alksne supervises other judges who are giving children to their named abusers as well. Court policy is to "reunify" children with their rapists.
This massive cover up of child abuse mirrors the Catholic Church cover up and occurs for the same reasons: MONEY, POWER, POLITICS, TRADITION, and PROTECTING REPUTATIONS of people in power and "otherwise nice guys". It's time for society to wake up and realize how destructive these "otherwise nice" sex offenders are.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF CASE [see Damon's Story for more details]:
Damon's mom, Cindy, tried to protect Damon in Family Court for two years before giving up and going into hiding. After three years in hiding, the D.A. reviewed the case and said she believed Damon so she would not prosecute Cindy for abduction. The D.A. and the new presiding judge, Judge Alksne, assured them if they returned to San Diego, Damon would be listened to and protected. So Cindy and the boys returned on February 1, 2008.
BUT IT WAS A TRICK.
Judge Alksne later admitted her only intention had been to get Cindy and the boys back to San Diego so she could give the boys back to Eric. She has dismissed and covered up Damon’s brave, detailed accounts of abuse by Eric and threats to kill him. Alksne appointed minor's counsels and psychologists (court whores) to facilitate her agenda. She has employed cruel and unethical tactics to try and get the boys to go back with their father, including taking them away from their mother and reunification therapy/deprogramming, in which Dr. Breffni Barrett attempted to get the boys to recant the abuse [see page "Reunification Therapy"]. But he was unsuccessful, so he told them they would just have to "forget about it."
The boys have also been court ordered to see a therapist, Dr. Craig Carlson, who has also tried to get Damon to recant the abuse and has covered it up. They are Mandated Reporters so they are breaking the law by not reporting it. Damon's minor's counsel, Gary Plavnick, believes Damon was abused, but says it is court policy to "reunify" him with his abuser. He has not advocated for Damon's right to be protected or to be with his mom.
The boys were told they could not see their mom unless they cooperated with “reunification” with their father—psychological coercion. The boys agreed to cooperate so they could get back with their mother.
BUT THAT WAS A TRICK TOO.
Even though the boys cooperated, they were never allowed to go back with their mom and have been suffering the loss of their life-long primary bond for over two years now. Cindy was told that she could not have custody unless she said the abuse did not happen and stop trying to protect Damon, which she will not do.
Since the boys would not agree to live with their father unless they could also live with their mother, the boys were court ordered against their will to live with him. However, Damon has absolutely refused to be alone with Eric so he is living with guardians while Eric attempts to "groom" him into a false sense of safety and agree to live with him.
But so far Damon has been too smart to fall for the grooming trick, so Judge Alksne has now threatened to ratchet up the torture and send Damon away to a camp to “de-program” (i.e. convince him he was not abused) him. They do cruel things at these camps to convince them to say the abuse did not happen. Judge Alksne told Cindy that she would not get custody of Damon unless she stopped trying to protect him from the abuse. Alksne has used the bogus "parental alienation" theory to justify taking custody away from Cindy. Parental alienation (and all its manifestations--unfriendly parent, danger to the children, coaching, etc.) is a dirty legal defense tactic used by child molesters to shift the blame to the protective parent (see the parental alienation page). But Judge Alksne covered all her bases and said that Damon had a great imagination too so maybe that could account for the abuse. Just another version of blaming the victim, which is so much more politically beneficial than holding the perpetrator accountable.
Maybe if Judge Alksne would do what judges are supposed to and have a fair hearing with all relevant and required evidence being allowed in, the truth would come out instead of being covered up.
